OkMOM 2022: SHAWNEE
The next Oklahoma Mission of Mercy will be held in Shawnee, OK on February 4 & 5, 2022 at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center.
The Oklahoma Mission of Mercy is a two-day dental event that offers FREE dental care to patients who are either uninsured, under-insured or simply do not have access to care.
The event is a fully-functional dental facility, offering a variety of services including cleanings, fillings and extractions.
Please note: No narcotic medications will be dispensed at OkMOM.
The OkMOM leadership is very aware that COVID-19 is still a part of our everyday lives. The decision to move forward with OkMOM 2022 was not taken lightly. After much discussion and many adjustments designed with the health and safety of our volunteers and patients in mind, we are confident we can accomplish a successful event with everyone’s commitment and cooperation.
OkMOM 2022: Shawnee will not operate the same as in past years. Patients will be directed to OkMOM exclusively through partnering nonprofits and local organizations. The clinic will not be first-come first-served, nor will it be open to walk-ins, or any individuals not scheduled for the event.
Local organizations will provide OkMOM with patient lists, those patients will attend a pre-screening prior to the clinic. Individuals cannot register for OkMOM, each patient must come from a local organization's list. All details about pre-screening and treatment will be communicated to patients exclusively through email.
(Please note, receiving communication and attending a pre-screening does not guarantee a patient's treatment. At an individual's treatment appointment time, they will be evaluated to ensure they are healthy enough to receive treatment.)
The OkMOM leadership team and public health officials are collaborating to safely move forward with OkMOM 2022. Strict safety protocols will be implemented to maintain the health and safety of all volunteers, dental professionals and patients. We are confident in our ability to provide a safe and successful event, and we appreciate the cooperation of all participants. OkMOM leadership encourages all volunteers and patients to get vaccinated for the health and safety of all participants. To find a vaccination location, click here.
For the safety and success of the 2022 OkMOM dental clinic, it is imperative that all patients understand and comply with the following safety measures:
All patients will be subject to mandatory rapid testing for COVID-19 upon arrival, regardless of vaccination status.
All patients are required to wear a mask while in the building. Masks will be provided at volunteer check-in.
All patients are required to complete a COVID-19 questionnaire upon arrival.
Any individuals unwilling to comply with the safety protocols will not be eligible to be a volunteer or patient. We thank you for your cooperation.
