DEAR OkMOM DONOR,
In 2020, the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy will take place for the 11th consecutive year. For the first time, Stillwater will host the two-day event designed to meet the oral health needs of Oklahomans of all ages. This completely free dental care will be provided to as many adults and children as time, volunteers and supplies allow. As a Stillwater native, and business owner, I know the Stillwater community will rally around this mission but we need support from all corners of the state to make this a success.
Since 2010, $12 million in donated dental care has been provided to over 16,000 patients. This year OkMOM anticipates serving the dental needs of approximately 2,000 individuals from Stillwater and the surrounding communities. For most of these patients, OkMOM is their only opportunity to receive dental care within the year. They are relying on us again in 2020, and I know we are up to the task.
Caring for the dental needs of thousands of Oklahomans has taken equally as many volunteers each of whom have sacrificed time away from their offices and families to serve their fellow citizen. Having served at OkMOM while in dental school and now as a practicing dentist, I can tell you that it is time well spent. That weekend, a life will be changed because of your decision to serve.
With your support, the lives of thousands of Oklahomans will be improved through OkMOM in 2020. Whether you donate time, supplies or finances, know that you are improving the health of your fellow citizen.
As the co-chairman of the 2020 OkMOM, thank you for your consideration and your generosity. I look forward to partnering with you in this endeavor.
