Volunteer's Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my own equipment?

Yes. Please be sure to clearly mark/label them. However, since this is a MASH style event where every chair is needed to fully operational at all times, there is the possibility that another dentist will have to use the equipment temporarily while you are on break or at lunch.

Can my assistant be assigned to assist me during the event?

Simply make note of your preference on the volunteer registration form. Though we cannot guarantee volunteer placement, we will do our best to accommodate your request.

I have a dental license from another state, can I still participate?

We will have a hospitality room set-up for your use during the event with food and drinks. In addition, we will be hosting volunteer receptions and dinners.

What should I wear to the event?

All volunteers will be provided with a t-shirt to wear while working at the event. This will help us identify who's working and in which positions. Jeans, scrubs, sweat pants and casual (COMFORTABLE) shoes are recommended.

I have difficulty in standing and walking for extended periods of time, will I still be able to volunteer?

Absolutely. We have a limited number of volunteer positions which can be performed while sitting. Please let us know of any concerns you have on your registration application and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. If we are unable to fulfill your request or you find you are unable to perform your assigned duties, just let us know and we will see where we can utilize your talents and contributions.
